FORGIVING - releasing the armor

FORGIVING – releasing the armor

Today, let's practice releasing the blame and judgment that is in the way of understanding, freedom, and love.

Forgiveness begins with the intention to let go of the armor we're carrying. When we put down the armor, we are exposed to what's underneath. We see what's there and feel what wants to be felt. It takes courage, yes! The gift is, that as we practice letting go of our defenses, we experience more understanding, freedom and love.

“Very little grows on jagged rock.  Be ground.
Be crumbled, so wildflowers will come up where you are.
You’ve been stony for too many years.
Try something different.
Surrender.”

– Rumi

FORGIVENESS IN ACTION

Feel your breath.
Feel your body.

Turning inward, asking:
How am I creating separation for myself?

Resting your awareness on this inquiry.

Holding the intention of compassion and forgiveness with whatever thoughts and feelings arise.

Continuing to ask throughout the day,
How am I creating separation for myself?

Responding with relentless forgiveness.

TRAIL MANTRA

I forgive.

AFFIRMATION:

I notice reactive defensiveness.

I respond with compassion.

I offer relentlessly forgiveness.

I enjoy the lightness of releasing.
