I AM GRATEFUL – replacing a fearful mind with a content heart

I am grateful
Affirmations

Today's Affirmation

I am grateful because, if only for a few moments, gratitude transforms my perspective of fear and anger to appreciation and contentment. Fear is why I don’t take action on my intentions and anger is why I get stuck. I remind myself that it is impossible to be fearful while being grateful at the same time. Gratitude is my go-to tool for navigating bravely through the journey ahead.

Micro Challenge

Today's Micro Act of Bravery

Today, set 3 gratitude alarms to go off at random times during today.

As they alarm, stop whatever it is your doing and bring to mind 3 things you’re grateful for in that moment 🙂

Gratitude may be perceived as a useful emotion for a greater well being[1], but few people seek it out consciously.

Inspiring Quotes

Words to Ponder

When you are grateful fear disappears and abundance appears.

– Tony Robbins

Mantras

I'm meditating at a beautiful garden. Yet I am grateful for having put an offer for an apartment. Independently of the result, making the offer required that I learnt to reach out to friends for support and advice (which I often avoid), trusting my partner when I felt lost, realising I made a poor decision and then being humble to step beyond what I had set as my boundary with self-confidence to give myself another chance, restablishing the trust with someone who had shaken my trust, being calculated and exercising decision making in different ways to what I normally would, observing that having my own place had an impact on my perception of my capabilities, and trusting that I deserved it (also not typical), dreaming about an enhanced lifestyle that I now feel more mobilised to pursue, reclaiming how I would like to have my sister by my side, learning about what was important to someone else I didn't know, standing up for what I trust and want solidly (atypical), negotiating to learn/ think together rather than to press for an outcome, and so many other things! I am grateful for this opportunity very experience!

My vision board! I made one for the very first time a few months ago, and while it might look like random images and picture of me on some poster board to some, to me everything represents something, something I am working towards, something I believe in. And I love/am grateful that I am able to wake up and look at it everyday.

The very computer I'm typing on is a wonderful gift- I can work my online business from here and access so much of the world and the information I need to thrive. I really wish I would take it for granted less. I'm also extremely grateful for the peaceful, quiet place I currently live, and being able to walk around outside and see vast mountains and rivers winding everywhere. Even poor and depressed and anxious, I can look at these things around me and feel thankful, and that's really a nice thing to feel. =)

Something in my environment that brings me joy is my collection of books.
A recent coincidence that left me with a smile was finding out in the same week of signing up for Kobo rewards that audiobooks were being supported. It may be small, but it gave me something to look forward to in the midst of my current stress.
A person I am blessed to have in my life right now is my mom. I have often had problems connecting with her in the past, which makes our current relationship even more previous.

& Something I can see in my environment that brings me joy …I can see a beautiful view from my window; I can see my cats, my lava lamps, my little 3D-printed icon I made last summer with the title of my book, I can see a photo of my mother, and another of my parents on their wedding day. I can see plants and birthday cards from friends for a recent birthday. And I can see a tiny silver polished stone of sorts, with the word “Wisdom” engraved on it, given it to me by a friend I have known for 30 years.
& recent coincidence that left me with a smile … For whatever reason, I cannot think of any coincidences, though I am sure there are many.
A person I am blessed to have in my life right now …I am grateful for all my friends; perhaps two in particular, two women friends, who I resonate with in particular. I have almost no family, but I am grateful that my brother, though a continent away, and I , have forged a closer friendship and sibling-hood in the last ten years.

I am grateful that I found this 30 day challenge as it has given me something to think about every morning and highlighted my thoughts on many different aspects of my emotional self.

My intention for this project goes much beyond inspiration. It's an inward journey of self-discovery in an effort to create and contribute to something much larger than little ole' me. So thanks for stopping by and in doing so, contributing to the growing evolution of Intention Inspired.
