I am grateful
Affirmations

Today's Affirmation

I am grateful because, if only for a few moments, gratitude transforms my perspective of fear and anger to appreciation and contentment. Fear is why I don’t take action on my intentions and anger is why I get stuck. I remind myself that it is impossible to be fearful while being grateful at the same time. Gratitude is my go-to tool for navigating bravely through the journey ahead.

Micro Challenge

Today's Micro Act of Bravery

Today, set 3 gratitude alarms to go off at random times during today.

As they alarm, stop whatever it is your doing and bring to mind 3 things you’re grateful for in that moment 🙂

Gratitude may be perceived as a useful emotion for a greater well being[1], but few people seek it out consciously.

Inspiring Quotes

Words to Ponder

When you are grateful fear disappears and abundance appears.

– Tony Robbins

Mantras

Today's Mantra

It's hard for me not to see joy in my ladies every day I wake up! I have my beautiful wife Melissa and my two adopted daughters Gracie (2) and Zamona (1, we call her Zee). They are such blessings to me and drive me to become a better person every day. I have found that more often than not, my motivation for any type of self-improvement falls short unless I am doing it for someone else… namely them. You've probably heard it in our comments before, but you can't pour from an empty cup! They help me to ensure I work on MY cup so I can fill their cups each and every day. My two year old recently ran into my office while I was working (on something AH-mazing for all the Intention Inspired people IMO) when she got home with my wife from an outing. Gracie:”Cah” she yelled. Ebin: “Oh you were in the car?” Gracie: “Dah, Cah. Da-eee. Wah.” Ebin: “Oh did you go to the car wash with mom?” Gracie: “Dah! Bahf. Da-eee Cah.” Ebin “Oh did the car get a bath?” Gracie: “Dah! Da-ee Cah Wah” Ebin: “Gracie, we just had our first conversation!… Read more »

The varying degrees of freedom I have often goes unappreciated. Grateful to wake up without an alarm. Grateful to eat anything I want. Grateful to be curious about random things in my spare time. Grateful to create as munch free time as I want. Grateful for those who have shaped me into who I am. Grateful for the experiences that have taught me. For the lightness that has softened to me. For the darkness that has hardened me. For this life that I was given, I didn't ask for it. For this heart that keeps beating without me trying. For the breath keeps breathing.

A person I am blessed to have in my life is my husband Doug. I had a very rocky childhood. He has taken that in his stride and helped me through the rough patches. He is not perfect, but then that would be harder to live with so God has given me the most perfect husband for me. Doug has started helping me with Kids club at church. He has taken a stressful time and made it easier and blessed. I love him truly.

I love to be in my home! I am filled with joy when I am in my large, old and imperfect home but it is HOME! I can be creative here, turn on the music I love and I dance or sit in front of my fire place and I am surrounded by all that I like! The colors and shapes and space. Joy and gratefulness fills my heart just to be! And my heart sings at the thought of my caring, loving and wonderful children, each one a gem and we are all connected! Each one has turned out to be such special people, I am so grateful, thanking God for that special grace that almost makes my heart burst! Joy for the love from my husband who is patient, kind and allows me to be who I am! The other day I walked through a department store not paying attention to anyone, being on a item hunt! It wasn't one of my best days! An older lady passed by me and took a double take and said ” you are so beautiful “! I certainly didn't feel beautiful…. but it gave me a wonderful tickle in my spirit, and made my day. Smiling… Read more »

Pictures of my family bring me joy; they surround me at work and at home. My family is beautiful and I love those pictures that bring back memories of the great times we have shared. I cannot really think of a recent coincidence, the only thing that comes to mind that is a fluke and just happened by chance is when I was just recently offered free flights to go to Hawaii this May. My friend has two free tickets and asked me if I wanted to go. Hawaii is an expensive place and with four children I still didn’t see it as feasible. When I turned down the offer she came back with a counter off saying she would cover the hotel and I could just pay her back whenever I could. Call me crazy but I accepted. I cannot believe I get a chance to go to Hawaii. This is so surreal to me; I still cannot believe it. It has definitely put a smile on my face. I actually cannot get rid of this smile. I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity. The person I feel I am blessed with to have in my life right… Read more »

I am grateful for friendship and the Joy it brings. Friendship with my spouse, my daughter and her daughter, my son his wife and friendships I am honored to develop with my grandsons. My Forever Friends so blessed and grateful we were brought together. Love the quote, ” Our mom couldn't handle us being sisters so God in Wisdom made us Forever Friends!” The many friends who have sent text and cards for our family in this time of loss of my husbands mother. She would have been 99 this month…Best mother-in-law friend a young bride 42 years ago could have asked for. Our friendship with each other and this beautiful garden, our earthly home, bonded us forever! The flower starts I got from her many moons ago are starting to bloom again this spring. Thanks for the everlasting friendship my dear Nina, we will miss you in our daily lives but not in our minds of gratitude, you have left a friendship vibration for all eternity! A recent coincident, I had expressed at the beginning of 2017 my desire for more laughter in my life. I say a quote recently that said, “Laughter is a Mini Vacation!” So everytime… Read more »

My vision board! I made one for the very first time a few months ago, and while it might look like random images and picture of me on some poster board to some, to me everything represents something, something I am working towards, something I believe in. And I love/am grateful that I am able to wake up and look at it everyday.

Something in my environment that brings me joy is my collection of books.
A recent coincidence that left me with a smile was finding out in the same week of signing up for Kobo rewards that audiobooks were being supported. It may be small, but it gave me something to look forward to in the midst of my current stress.
A person I am blessed to have in my life right now is my mom. I have often had problems connecting with her in the past, which makes our current relationship even more previous.

I am so grateful for my garden that I have grown for mother earth.
A recent coincidence leaving me with a smile with my niece, So pure, innocent and does not yet know that what life may bring down the track for her yet
I am so greatful for my mum and Dad they are 76 with health problems but they have always been here for me despite arguments whilst growing up. Now it's my time to give back, although takes up all my time I would not swap it for anything.

My intention for this project goes much beyond inspiration. It's an inward journey of self-discovery in an effort to create and contribute to something much larger than little ole' me. So thanks for stopping by and in doing so, contributing to the growing evolution of Intention Inspired.
