Appreciation brings appreciation. A little while before beginning this challenge, I decided to sign my emails with the closing “with gratitude” or “with appreciation”. I type it each time, rather than saving it as a tag line, so I can take a moment to really mean it for that particular interaction.
After looking at other people’s answers, I also would like to add I feel validated as well. Lately I have been receiving much appreciation from people for my work with mindfulness…and I feel validated that I am journeying along the correct path.
I feel immense warmth, happiness, and joy down to my core. The person doesn’t need to say much, but their affirmation makes me feel special…because the people who show signs of appreciation usually aren’t even ones I know!

It makes me feel warm and loved and appreciative in turn for them expressing it to me, and appreciative of having people like them in my life.

I blush. I have never been comfortable with compliments, but I have learned over the years to say thank you.
