I am committed to reducing consumption, full stop. The less I buy/use the less packaging, the less shipping, the less water and resource go into production… In food that means I’m fasting more often and when I do eat, I’m cooking more meals at home with more foods that are raised locally, organically, and in season. Buying fewer clothes, and when I do buy – trying to buy used items instead of fast fashion. Conserving electricity and water. Using reusable period hygiene products… etc. etc.
Use as little as possible of resources and not waste any food or take advantage of any resource. I will also make sure to enjoy every bit of those and connect its existance back to nature. I’ll breath in deeply, look around me at the healthy enviornment I’ve been gifted to live in and appraciate it with my whole existance.
I rarely use my time off to reconnect with nature. This year I want to spend more weekends with nature and less with commercial tourist attractions. As for today, Iโll start small and declutter my bookshelf by donating my excess and recycling the old.

I already recycle as much as possible in the house. We do have a compost bin that we do not use enough. I am pledging to start using it more often.

I can bring my own silverware and mug/waterbottle instead of getting disposable ones wherever I go

I am trying to resist temptation to throw out recyclables. Also, we put bird seed in the bird feeders yesterday hoping to get a show.
Be grateful for nature
Recycle more, waste less. Eat less meat. Go outside more often, drive less, walk more.
