  1. I love my groups of peeps and try to contribute by being accepting and understanding of who people are and their weaknesses and support and uplift their strengths. None of us is perfect. All of us have something valuable to offer. Life is hard enough without us judging and being unsupportive to each other (especially mothers!). Trying to understand people and why they do what they do provides empathy and understanding so that judgement doesn’t have time to creep in.

  2. By teaching students every day. Inspiring them, teaching them to be kind, teaching them to be the bigger person, teaching them right vs wrong, teaching them how music brings people together, teaching them how if we help out… it not only makes others feel good, but ourselves as well.

  3. I have the necessary skills to do the job that I’m supposed to be doing but I also love to help out my colleagues, when they are in need. I have the creativity needed to provide new insight to problems and to give pertinent feedback when I am asked to do so.

  4. I work in a public service field so I am serving my community almost everyday, I also volunteer for the local hospital and am active in my church…. yet when my dad passed away I found there were only a couple people who were really there for me. I keep giving because that’s just who I am, but I’ve learned I can’t expect anyone else to really care. I think that’s a big part of the problem with our culture today – apathy.
