  1. I recently unplugged my microwave and have used it as a makeshift storage space in my tiny flat in London. I was actually somewhat tempted to re-plug it in today while making my lunch (which ironically enough just so happens to be rice and beans – but with a few embellishments). Anyway. I can remain committed to not using it. And also to regularly using my water filter (I tend to get lazy here, especially when thirsty).

  2. Avoid artificial air-fresheners! With three cats and two humans, in winter we need to freshen the indoor air by methods similar to those used by my grandmothers: safe candles and batches in the loo; a cut lemon, a small bowl of baking soda, or a dish of white vinegar set out to absorb smells, a sprinkle of cinnamon on a warm burner, a beeswax candle, smudging with dried sage, or more modern natural means, like a dab of tea tree oil on a cotton swab. These are becoming second nature, but we still use one can of pressurized freshener per 1 – 2 years … would like to help suppress the marketing of these.

  3. I drink lots of coffee and use artificial sweetener so I’m going to try to cut that out of my diet. (Not the coffee, but the Spenda). We eat very little processed food and eat lots of fresh veggies and fruit. I also like the idea of replacing my plastic storage containers with glass.

  4. For me I have to get rid of the mould in my wet room as I have asthma , my fiancé hates candles lol so that will be easy . I have been thinking of getting a salt lamp

  5. I was recently diagnosed with skin cancer. I needed a good, natural, face SPF. I just researched and ordered one that wasn’t even crazy expensive. I would have blown it off if I hadn’t been doing this challenge.
