Today, let's expose the most common culprit of unhappiness by shattering the misconception of unworthiness.

I need to let go of the idea that my self worth is from my husband. I’m worthy on my own. I feel like without him, I’m just a shell. I’ve always thought of myself as really strong and independent. Our recent separation has shown me how heavily I relied on him for my emotional support. He was my security blanket.
I often hide parts of myself from others. And even though I may love these things, I always feel like these things may make me unlovable if people know. But of course that doesn’t last! I end up yearning to be myself and the person ends up not knowing me at all. I need to be unashamed and authentic in order to love myself. And those who can accept that will truly love me.
I’ve been thinking for a long time that until I will find my right career path, I will not be able to fully enjoy life and be happy with my daily activities. I have also been thinking that until I will use my natural talents and skills, I will not be worthy of love and appreciation from those around me and I will not live a fulfilling life. Maybe I should just enjoy each day as it is, wake up in the morning with the acknowledgement that it is a new day in which I have the opportunity to improve myself, to learn something new, to help someone feel better, to love myself and those I care about, to do something relaxing for myself, to learn a new language or a musical instrument, to practice drawing as a hobby, to find out about new artists and their works and basically, to enjoy my life in the present moment and avoid thinking about an ideal future in which I have the perfect job, the perfect husband, the perfect house, the perfect car, the perfect children, the perfect level of fame and appreciation from those around me and the perfect friends and relationships. Those are totally subjective things, because something that is perfect in my eyes, may not be perfect in another person’s eyes. What matters is that I feel proud with what I have and what I do each day for myself and my loved ones, and the society, as a whole, to bring added value each day to my life and to others’ lives. To enjoy and appreciate the present moment, as much as I can. To be grateful for my job, my blessings in disguise, my relationships, my cats, my neighbors and everything else.
I need to let go of the belief that I am not good enough not because of what I can buy or what degree I can get but because I can’t do enough to not disappoint other people. I can’t keep making sure I don’t disappoint anyone without damaging my own mental and physical health. Don’t I deserve to not be disappointed in myself?
I have to realise that throughout my life that is to come that I will have to experience various negative emotions. I will be sad , fearful , anxious , angry , insecure and even depressed. It isn’t a sign of being a failure , it just means I am alive and human . I have often led my life according to others and led to constantly seek out the approval of others . I am letting go , of my need of seeking approval from others , yes I will make mistakes but I will not see myself as a failure . I will embrace all
My emotions that arise from my life . I am in charge of my life and my emotions, I am taking my life back .
