When people are stressed, they make poorer decisions.

Conversely, researchers have demonstrated that intuition is more than just a feeling. From a scientific standpoint, the “gut feeling” is real. It can help guide us through life: making faster, more accurate, and more confident decisions using information we are not conscious of. Furthermore, people can become “more adept at trusting their intuition when they use it more frequently over time.”
