Perhaps it’s driving in traffic or waiting for your meal to arrive. So often we want to rush ahead to a pleasant future circumstance, and we completely disregard the wonderful moment right in front of us. Mindfulness asks us to slow down and be patient. The future hasn’t arrived, so why put our attention somewhere that doesn’t exist?. As you practice patience today, follow the gentle pace of your breath and notice the unique things that only this moment offers.
