  1. I had planned on Friday of this week to spend the day both in my studio and doing some plein air painting in preparation to do a 3 day plein air workshop. Something I have never attempted. I was asked to care for my grandchild on that day. normally I would just change my own plans to do what was asked of me. I actually said I had plans so I couldn’t. usually I get guilt tripped but just refused to be pulled in..major cou for me

  2. I need to move forward on being so impacted by a co-worker and adopted child that betrayed me , it has affected me deeply emotionally and professionally. I need to remove from my life the trappings of a past job and find a way to redefine my relationship with the now grown child
not sure any suggestions out there

  3. Before I move to another state a couple of weeks from now, I need to change banks and make sure that my finances are properly taken care of. Today, I will ask my father for advice on how to do this, including which bank I should move my money into and when is a good time for he and I to discuss setting up an investment account in my name.

  4. Ok, this was probably my toughest mission so far. I used to be calculated as a girl and created a belief that that stopped me from living freely and being happy, so I flipped. And I now avoid calculating anything. I did a few things i had to do but spent my day simply trying to get out of strong feelings of avoiding. I then do activities that are simple and numb or distract me instead of addressing what’s there. So what I need to do is: start calculating a bit everyday even in small actions just to get the muscles back and to communicate the plan so I can have myself accountable for doing it. And perhaps just give it a laugh when I’m stuck along the way. I’ll aim to install this routine.

    • This is like a constant struggle for me. I have to have a plan but also be flexible. Reflecting on it now, it has gotten easier as I’ve worked those muscles back into shape. Laughing definitely helps me too!

  5. I need to stop living my life for others and start making decisions only for myself. I’m too afraid of what people can think of me and I have let that be an obstacle to my growth for too long, so I’ll stop social networks for a week.

  6. One thing I need to do today to gain clarity on the presentation I am giving in two weeks is to set up an outline. Tomorrow I will write the objectives/goals. Then over the three-day weekend I will complete the Power Point for the presentation. There I go! I am calculated.

  7. Oh man, I’m nervous just writing this out! One thing that I know that I need to move forward with is truly showing up and sharing myself with others. This plays out in a lot of different ways, but a recent example is my writing. I write to release and make sense of my emotions. I have recently started a new book. This new book I think is one that I know I am going to actually need to share with others. One thing that i can do today to gain clarity/confidence/embrace this is to make a commitment to myself to actually share the start of this book (even if it is still a work in progress). It’s kind of crazy how scary it is to share/open yourself up to others, but this challenge is all about being brave right?
