Gracefully Overcoming Challenges with a Growth Mindset

In the garden of the soul, a seed is sown,
nurtured with love, its true essence grown,
Through sun and storm, the roots run deep,
a growth mindset, a treasure to keep.

Tending our thoughts, like flowers in bloom,
resilience blossoms, as fears we consume.
With courage we dance, in life's shifting sands,
embracing change, with open hands.

  1. I have been consistent with going to the gym ant taking care of my mental and physical health. I learned to love myself more and give more. Thins 30 days of Brave helped me get out of my comfort zone and go and talk to someone that I have been inspired by.

  2. I’m learning to live on my own, Im Learning to make healthy choices. Im paying off my debt. If I continue on this journey I think I would become even more confident and self aware. And be able to get what I want

  3. This is a lifetime commitment – not just 30 more days. But it starts with 30 days. This course has helped me stay focused and realize the strength in what I’m doing, helping me husband work through a very tough time. I have a renewed sense of bravery and strength and commitment over the last 30 days – through this course as well as counselor support.

  4. I am beginning to think that I can always do my best at anything and that just as it is, it might be good enough. In another 30 days I might be able to stand up and act when I’m still uncertain about the outcome because I trust that the actions that are available for me to take are the best starting point.

  5. Something I thought would have been impossible to accomplish 30 days ago? Actually successfully completing a project and presentation as an acting CEO (the reason I signed up for brave was to authentically believe in myself as a leader to complete this particular project with school).
The work and the project is not finished yet. The paper is due in a week, and the board presentation follows 3 days later. What’s been amazing for me though in this path to understanding and believing in myself in a leadership context, is that having success in being an authentic leader and CEO, has actually been less about me, and all about empowering others. I have been able to successfully lead the team. but really it was done by really taking the time to listen to every single person on my team, make sure they felt valued and appreciated and that together we were all aligned on the direction/goal/final product. It’s been a really incredible experience, and the best part has been my conscious definition of it all, which I hope to carry on, well, indefinitely.

  6. I have been consistent about setting aside time every day to work on self improvement- reading, journaling, and quiet contemplation.

This has helped me to develop the patience and inner resources I will need to achieve my larger goals.

  7. I have been writing daily. Submitting my work to journals and contests to get it out into the world. I have also been exercising regularly, which makes me feel much better.
