Resourceful Intention

Let us delve into our inner depths,
to unlock the treasures that we possess.
For creativity, determination and strength,
Are within us, waiting at arm's length.

Let us not dwell on what we do not possess.
Instead, focus on what we can do with what's left.
Our resourcefulness lies in recognizing our needs,
and in the courageous acts that water those seeds.

  1. I think I have to accept my fear and embrace it, it’s ok to be scared sometimes.
I need to fight procrastination using determination (coming from the reasons why I started this challenge), curiosity and by remembering the satisfaction of an accomplished task.

  2. When feelings of uncertainty or fear come in I can have a laugh, welcome them in, be with them, and take any non-reactive action I choose to engage with the care that as I move with fear I might act a bit goofy, but this will clear out slowly. I can create a happy world.

  3. What emotions can I develop to elicit the resourses I want? Right now my life really does boil down to peace in uncertainty. Peace in having confidence I can lead my group, peace in that I don’t where I will be employed next, peace in being vulnerable enough to share this, peace in the fact the fact that literally my whole next step is a question mark at this point. But what I can develop is that even though I feel unsure and insecure, deep down I know I’m guided and loved, and that even though it is a bit intimidating and frankly scary for me right now… it will all work out. Deep down I know that.. and that’s what I need to focus on.

  4. I can develop joy and peace within chaos and uncertainty… that is where creativity thrives, after all. I can develop determination and excitement in the face of new things. I can develop honest awareness and peace about myself and who I really am and what I really want, so instead of reacting badly to others because I’m confused about myself, I can respond instead with compassionate certainty.

  5. I am ardently using creativity, curiosity, determination, and honesty at this point. What I need to work on, as far as emotions go, is not giving in to fear or anxiety when I am awaiting results or when I encounter a situation where I get easily frustrated/worried. Just misplacing my keys can send me into a panic sometimes..especially when I am on a tight schedule.

I honestly don’t believe these emotions affect my resourcefulness much…however, they do sidetrack me into rabbit holes which eat up my time to be creative or resourceful.

My determination to use all my resources is impacted by one major obstacle…the one and only procrastination neon sign I put in front of myself daily that says “It can wait until later…I am too tired or I need to relax.” Generally I have found that procrastination is my most limiting factor to success. The irony is that, when I overcome the procrastination, I feel more relaxed and more at ease.

  6. All of the above examples are emotions I can develop, however, the most relevant one in my life right now in this moment, is determination. Parts of my goal for this challenge were going quite well, but parts I was having a difficult time find any success. My stretching of my determination muscle allowed me to look at what I was doing and to make some small changes so I can be successful. This is a mindset and practice I want to foster and help grow!

  7. Enthusiasm until this point I haven’t been enthusiastic about the future I want because I couldn’t see it happening in my minds eye. Now a huge barrier has shifted(person moved on) and an opportunity to learn more of the business has been put in front of me and now the outcome doesn’t seem so bleak, if I make it i could be excited about it the part that was zapping my enthusiasm is gone and suddenly I am excited about the day and the business and The future in it.

  8. Resources that would help me:
-Time- I can develop this resource through determination to stay on schedule and wake up on time.
-Schedule- I can develop a thorough schedule by determining what I need to have done in more detail and setting goalposts that let me know where I am on that journey
-Books/Videos/Learning Material- I can experiment with different resources to help me learn and then focus on using the most efficient ones
-People- I can use friends and family to keep me accountable by telling them about my goals as I proceed
