  1. When it happens first take a second to sit back and take a conscious breath. Afterwards create a list (mental or written) to note down the things that need to be done in 4 columns. 1.Important and Urgent, 2. Important and not urgent, 3. Not important and urgent, 4. Not important and not urgent.
Cross column 3 and 4 completely and focus on number 1 and 2. Again choose what is the most urgent thing that needs to be done. Is ist necessary to execute everything by yourself or can you delegate some of those tasks to people less busy?
Most important: Don’t be hasty and don’t get stressed. The philosophers rules are:1. Don’t let your state of mind get turned upside down by the little things. 2. Everything is little things.

  2. I love the idea of scheduling in time each day to recalibrate. More often than not I get caught up in just going and doing, rarely taking time to pause and breathe and regroup.

What can I do to create more margin in my life to be more diligent with life’s unexpected curveballs? I can embrace them. Even if they scare me, frustrate me, annoy me, freak me out, throw me off guard. I can recognize that those curveballs are there for a reason and rather than being pissed off/annoyed, I can refocus and see what I can learn/how I can grow from them.
