Today, let's let go of expectations and relax into contentment for the moment.

  1. This is an area which I struggle so much. I am a planner by nature and when things do go to plan this disrupts my mood and then I take it out on others, this is one of the area of my life which continues to get my relationship in a mess. This is one very good lesson I need to strongly work at, to just let what happens happen. Thank you so much Sonja for this day.

  2. Life becomes light. Everything gets connected by a sense of belonging. I get tightly woven into this exact same net.
It takes courage to approach life in this manner. The reward is an unshakeable sense of security because everything is nothing but a chance for us to grow.

  3. This is difficult for me because I have a hard time extinguishing expectations. I have tried to lower them and that has been helpful to to get rid of them entirely is something that I am not yet able to do.

  4. I get to appreciate at what I have which makes me humble and happy. I also feel free as if I’m floating above the skies without the fear of falling or throwing up.

  5. I get out of my own way, I am less self-destructive and I sabotage myself less. I am more open to possibilities, I find myself in a state of flow and I fall in love with life.

  6. I really enjoyed today’s insight and actually had to practice it…I didn’t get chance to read it this morning, so imagine my Aha-God moment when I read it a few minutes ago! Too much to post but rest assured I inadvertently practiced this intention and it was glorious.

  7. Non-related journal prompt: I loved the session today Sonja, so thank you for it!

My definition of my higher power: I don’t think I will ever be able to provide an actual definition because to me.. it’s beyond words, and what it means to me could be realised in a completely different way to someone else. BUT, ultimately I do believe that I am loved unconditionally and guided (we all are)… I just have to be willing to have faith and trust and be open to it.

And expectations? They get me into trouble all the time. I have become a lot more clear about what I want, what I need to really suceed in doing is being content with exactly where I am at. Even if (which is currently the case in multiple areas of my life) – where I am at right now is different from where I envision myself being. It becomes easier when I let go, when I just trust and believe, and hold faith that even though I am not there yet, I will get there.
Expectations hold me back because I decide what it all needs to look like, I limit myself, because it could all be so much more, or completely different from what I currently am expecting it as.

  8. When I surrender control, things that are impossible to plan to happen. When I leave each moment to the unexpecting randomness of it all, what appears is something better than I could have ever planned because it’s a new experience that adds to the diversity of this beautiful human experience.
