Today’s Intention
👁 TODAY'S INTENTION

Today, let's look at the world through the eyes of kindness and experience how beneficial it is to our well-being.

Kindness isn't just about being nice; it's about nurturing our health and well-being. Acts of kindness release oxytocin, the “love hormone,” reducing stress, inflammation, and even slowing the aging process. Imagine a world where every act of kindness you perform ripples positive change, connecting you to the life-giving essence of life itself.

Who knew kindness to be a secret sauce to living a longer, happier life!? Ready to spread some kindness?

🌎 BLUE ZONE INSPIRATION

Kindness is a key trait among the centenarians in the Blue Zone. Lead researcher, Dan Buettner notes, “Of the centenarians interviewed, there wasn't a grump in the bunch.” Kindness fosters strong social connections, reduces stress, and promotes overall well-being, contributing to the longevity observed in Blue Zones.

  1. Being kind often brings us out of our comfort zone and shows YOU that you can make a difference. I visited a neighbor with Alzheimer’s at Christmas who I did not know. Just being present brightened his day and those around him. I was a new smiling face. He won’t remember, but I will. This was extremely hard for me to do but I learned a lot about Alzheimer’s (this man was a Harvard B school professor who doesn’t know his family but can still read!) and that I can make a difference no matter how small. I can’t wait to visit again.
