  1. It gives me hope for the human race, specifically our children; it encourages me to go out and do the same; it simply brings joy to me knowing it has a ripple effect.

  2. When I was a teen, a woman grabbed my face and said I had beautiful eyes at a time I was feeling really bad about how I looked, and it made me see myself in a different way. =) In my life in general, my friends and family have constantly helped me out of sheer love and kindness with presents and money and their time, and it always blows my mind that people can take time out or give money to others with nothing in return but gratitude. It inspires me to be a kinder person all the time.

  3. People have kindly given me food and money while I was recuperating from a very extensive operation; strangers have given me so many compliments on my clothing and hair (I don’t have what anyone would consider “mainstream” tastes). Strangers and people have shown me that we are all interconnected, and that if I slow down and actually TRULY look, I can see kindness, beauty and wonder around me. My mindset has changed drastically as I have applied mindfulness into my life. I am very grateful that I learned the basics of it from experience, kind people who were willing to work with a large group of people from all walks of life.
