FAITHFUL – HEALTHY HABITS

Today, let’s nurture our spiritual health by putting faith in ourselves.

When it comes to the impact on health, having a faith-based spiritual practice (not necessary a specific religion or denomination) has proven to bring us more vitality.

We are far more than flesh and thoughts.

We have a spirit that needs to be looked after and nurtured just as much (if not, more) than our physical bodies. Which is why the link between faith and health for ourselves and our communities cannot be ignored during our journey to improve our well-being.

Getting rid of distractions.

When it comes to building a healthy habit out of spiritual faith, this is a personal, inner focus that cannot be adopted from someone else or experienced externally. It comes from a place of stillness and reflection on our personal experiences.

Coming into present moment sensations that are happening right now is how we can detach from distracting thoughts and arrive into the spiritual and spacious presence that we intuitively know and innately are.

Set aside a precious nugget of time today to be still and reconnect with a faith-based practice that brings you joy.

Adopt a routine spiritual discipline.

There are many different spiritual disciplines that can help us to grow and mature. Here are a few common ways people traditionally develop their spiritual practice:

  • Meditation
  • Journaling
  • Fellowship
  • Solitude
  • Celebration
  • Prayer
  • Fasting

“Find stillness by eliminating distractions with the intention to strengthen the faith that brings you joy.
