I think through options and their possible outcomes. If it is important and affects others, I discuss it with my husband and/or others for input.
To be honest roadblocks really set me off course and they lead to major self doubt. I generally donโt go through them. I end up going around them or just giving up, which can end up making me feel worse about myself.
I change direction with a positive gear and purpose only move forward … no looking back
I come to realize that this roadblock is a gift of love from the Lord. For whatever reason, I needed to shift my path away from where I previously was heading, and He puts the roadblocks there to have me improve my life. Indeed, failures, hardships, and downright horrible events can do one of three things–we can learn from them and change our lives for the better; we can learn from them and stay as we are; or we can become negative, even bitter, and stay where we are or become worse.
I suppose that is really four things! Over the last five years, I have come to terms with roadblocks as a gift, and no longer see them as try obstacles. Rather, they are meant to steer me in a different, better direction. This means I can have a more joyful, happy life and make a greater, more positive impact on the world and its denizens.
I pray/meditate through it. I find comfort in knowing I have a source to fall back on in times of hardships. I know that I can get through whatever difficult situation is thrown at me.
Being with it. So not just acceptance, but really tuning into what it’s trying to show me, what I can learn from it, how it can help me. How can I shift the way that I currently view it to allow it move me onto what’s next.
I need to find the actions (journaling, visualizations, exercise, etc) that will help me be sober.
The major obstacle is my life is my failure to belief , if I keep living in dreamland I will never be capable of achieving my goals. My first goal is to be a published writer , I have to get real and stop dreaming about it . I have to get real here , I waste to much time . If I even write 500 words a day , by the end of January I will have another 15,000 words written . I have already 7000 written . My goal is achievable if I truly believe. Then I make small steps to help me achieve my goal .
