Today, let's embrace a curious sincerity to expand our horizon for growth and development.

That myself is bigger than I used to think. That life has far more possibilities than beforehands thought.
That it is possible to handle the uncomfortable. That its the way to my destination.
I feel very awkward when I am out of my comfort zone. It is not a place that I enjoy and I try to get back into my comfort zone as soon as possible.
I have been out of my comfort zone several times – I feel Challenged
Maybe my problem is I tend to not step out of my comfort zone ,
I attended a poetry reading for the first time this week and read poetry aloud for the very first time.
It was nerve-wracking but also so powerful to read/present something creative to the group. I’m not one that loves public speaking.
It was also a bit easier as I wasn’t reading anything I had actually written, but I enjoyed the experience so much so that I committed to going next month AND reading something that comes from me.
Which means two things
1. I need to write a poem in the next month
2. I really do love sharing once I push past my nerves and really actually show up.
I’ve been going to ecstatic group dancing sessions recently which has challenged me to extend myself outside my comfort zone.
It’s one thing to let loose by myself or with close friends. But to allow myself to move, think, and be free with strangers in an unfamiliar environment is a fruitful endeavor.
I’ve seen my judgments fade away, a reconnection with my child-like self, a fuller expression of myself, a celebration of life, attuning into my instincts, and an expansion beyond myself that at the same time bring me in deeper connection with myself and everyone around. It really is a fuller spectrum of myself and my experience in the moment which is directly a result of the open-mindedness required to embrace the experience.
I love this Matt, I found myself at something similar a few weeks ago (although unintentionally). I thought I was going to a meditation thing and it ended up being an embracing the masculine and feminne within me thing. However – instead of giving into it, I resisted the entire time and stood awkwardly clapping and swaying in the back of the space. It was only afterwords that I realised that I pretty much missed out on the magic of the moment.
